Lab Position: PhD candidate, Spring 2024 - present

​Adam joined the Toor lab in 2024 as a PhD student from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. His research is focused on developing photonic devices by using quantum and semiconductor physics and engineering techniques.  

Honors and Awards: Adam was on the dean's list at the University of Northern Iowa in the Fall of 2019, the Fall and Spring of 2020 and 2021, and the Spring of 2022. 

Education: Adam received a BS in Physics and a BA in Philosophy from the University of Northern Iowa. He is currently pursuing a PhD in electrical computer engineering at the University of Iowa with Dr. Fatima Toor as his adviser. 

Hobbies: Adam enjoys exercising by playing tennis or pickleball, going on bike rides, or hiking. He spends his free time reading, listening to music, traveling, and attempting to make the best cup of coffee.
