​Wenqi joined the Toor Lab in 2015 and is a graduate student in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at the University of Iowa. Her research activities involve design, fabrication, and testing of a silicon nanowire biosensor for water quality monitoring.

Honors and Awards: Magna cum laude Latin honors awarded for outstanding academic performance in B.A.; Physics with honors based on a research dissertation. Honorable Mention for the 2017 NSF Graduate Research Fellowship; Winner of the Best Graduate Poster award at the 2018 College of Engineering Research Open House; Finalist for Best Student Poster Award at the 2018 World Conference on Photovoltaic Energy Conversion (WCPEC-7)
